Week 10

Kevan:

Again this week I was focusing searching for bug's and optimizations, i tackled few bugs out such as: Runtime null Exception errors, Player on death was not always spawned to the base, Turret that was not shooting through the shield, Player at start so

New implementation: Added camera clipping, when there is a mesh in front of the camera.

Added more hints around the level, to make the player understand the game easier. + small Animation

And optimized the level, and mostly the navigation mesh was not correct.

Also added some taunting animation at preview #kasteelridder.

Louis:

This week I worked again on the sounds of the game. Different background music for ingame and inmenu with a nice fading system for smooth transition. Regular ambient sounds, base hovering sounds when moving (based on  base speed), base button sound, melee attack, shield activated/active/deactivated, ui sound & started on footsteps for the player. Should be nice for the ears.

The other massive topic I worked on this week was the boss. This bad boy needed way better AI and needed to be more flexible to change the abilities or the order of them to create the best boss we can, not too hard, not too easy. And ideal for all members of the team and future players. For this I reworked most of the boss.

(Missiles should go in a curve in the near future)

I also worked on the fortnite-like animations in the preview screen, and maybe i regret that.

And like always bugs fixes  and minor improvements.

Aitor:

Made a start screen, I still have to decorate it with particles and small derbis. Reposiocionate the players aswell.

I made the particles for the rocket and played around with the values for the other weapens.

I finished the interior for the base.

Wouter:

applied materials to the turret and bridge energy core socket.

finished up our sound library with new sounds for: melee attacks, boss footsteps, missile launches, slam attack, UI sounds, rock breaking sounds, enemy death sounds, energy core pickups and turret place sound.
