Week 7
This Easter holiday we worked very hard to make our game more interesting, the first feature we've added is breakable rocks. this can be used for the environment in the future.
Second thing, we made the gun's & projectile more interesting. by giving random scaling, dropping empty shells.
You can store energy core at your chest, and activate it whenever you want at the station! There's now finally an interior mesh that makes the base more interesting. The shield can protect you from enemies and deplete over time.
We also added Reviving system to pump the team spirit up.
The bridge is ready to use, can be inserted with energy cores.
When your Ammo is depleted you're switched to attack mode. or you can simply press left joystick button to attack enemies infront of you.
Animation needs some tweaking too...

The game now has a UserInterface so the player can choose his prefered weapon, and see an endscreen with stats and an option to restart.
There is also an in-game UI that shows the current player score, base health, base shield health and remaining lives. These UI elements disappear after a certain amount of time but can all be shown with a press on the select-button.
There is also a system to activate & deactive the spawns of enemyspawns. This is shown in this tests with a light that gets activated. Zones can be activated WHILE standing inside or IF a player once has entered the zone.
Good news, the enemies can drop loot when they die.

I´ve been working really hard to fix a nice environment, a lot of research hours and a lot of try and error. The environment props are rocks, stones, grable and cliffs… and more rocks... for that I made 100 models of rocks and 6 models for the vegetation.
I made 3 VFX effects for the enviorment. We are going for the squares and low poly feel.

I started putting rocks together and setting the mood.
The shaders with the outline and the rest works perfectly together now.
The shader useas a fog setting with the height, you can see this in action on the right bottom corner.
I made the interior for the base, there are not materials assigned yet.
I made a VFX effect for the shield
I did the boss mesh, rigged and with all the animations ready for kevan to implement them. Is not textured yet.
